Video Game Research
As part of my Psychology and Video Games series, I will be analysing data pertaining to video games and publishing the findings for all to read. This work is only possible through Patreon support. This page will be used to catalogue my video game research.
‘Youth Violence and Video Games: A Data Analysis‘ is the world’s largest data analysis on the effects of playing video games on violence. The protocol for this data analysis was repeated in ‘Youth Violence and Video Games: A Second Data Analysis‘, where I used an even larger sample of young people!
‘The Effects of Gaming 20+ Hours Per Week: A Data Analysis‘ uses data to explore claims that playing video games for 20 hours per week is an indication of addiction.
‘Who are Adult Gamers?’ explores the gamer identity in a sample of American adults.
Please look forward to more research in the future.
